I released an album I'm really proud of a month ago, and not knowing what else to do, I submitted one of the songs to 28 music blogs. It was this: https://open.spotify.com/track/1KyQ8j... … I got 28 rejections.
So for today's Song A Day, I made a novelty song using lines from their rejections.
I didn’t connect with the vocal
I wasn’t grabbed by the melody
The vocal was not so appealing
The vocals don’t really strike me
These chords just feel over used
Not all that new or imaginative
Lyrically it didn’t draw me in
The vocals are a bit too whimpered
You are a music blogger
And you’re being squeezed
I am a songwriter
With hopes and dreams
I don’t blame you
I know you don’t hate me
We’re both doing our best
In this capitalist society
The vocals are OK
Not sure if i dig the cowbell though
The track comes off rather cheesy to me
Needed more oomph from a hook
Looking for something a bit more inventive
The chorus is nice, the rest is nothing special
I struggled to get excited
Needs more unique touches
